Marrakesh Menara Airport, ca. 250 km from destination Taghazout
If you’re looking for cheap flights we highly recommend using the search engine “Skyscanner.” With Skyscanner you can do more than just look up a specific flight connection within a limited time frame. Rather, you can compare all flights leaving from airports in your vicinity in order to find the most cost-effective route options. Even better, using a built-in calendar function you can overlook yearly trends to see in which months flying is cheapest. That way you can plan your escape in advance, by placing your vacation days strategically.
The following information will help you get an idea of which airlines fly to Morocco at what prices. You’ll see, there’s bound to be the perfect option for you!

When you land at the airport keep a lookout for other surfers – you might be able to share a cab with them to the SUPRATOURS bus terminal (located next to the central train station – ca. 10€) or even all the way to Taghazout for about 100-120€.
The bus ticket to Agadir costs 120 Dirham (10-12€), and another 3-4€ for additional luggage. The ride takes about 3 hours and winds along a beautiful route at the feet of the Atlas Mountains, providing you with spectacular views of Morocco’s inner landscapes. Once in Agadir, you can take a final taxi ride of about 30 min (100 DH) to Taghazout, maybe sharing the cab with your fellow bus travelers. You can read a first-person account of the transfer to Marrakesh to Taghazout here and convince yourself of how easy it is!
Don’t worry! It sounds more complicated than it actually is. All of us from Maranga, many of our clients (even women traveling alone) and a whole bunch of surfers in general have tried it and would do it again. We would also recommend using the opportunity to book 2-3 nights in Marrakesh as well. The city is well worth a visit!
